Privacy Policy

Who we are
CoffeeID is the global coffee identity registry, operated by WORLD COFFEE INFORMATION PTY LTD (referred to as "CoffeeID", "we" or "us"), available at information.coffee and through the CoffeeID app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account details. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your email address, display name and profile picture from that provider. We use these to operate your account. We never see your password.
Content you submit. Coffee details you register, photos you attach to a coffee, photos of coffee labels you scan to fill in a form, journal entries and taste preferences. Label photos you scan are processed to read the text on the label and are not used for anything else.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address for that purpose only. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
Technical basics. Standard server logs, including IP addresses, kept briefly for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third party advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use your photos or content to train artificial intelligence models.
The public registry
CoffeeID is a public registry. Coffee records you create, including any photos and details you attach to them, are publicly visible to anyone who taps the CoffeeID tag or looks up the ID. Your display name may be shown as the registrant of a coffee. Your email address, journal entries and taste preferences are never public.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to that processing.
Where your data lives and how long we keep it
Your data is stored on servers we control and is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account or ask us to, we remove your personal information. Coffee records in the public registry are permanent by design, but we can remove your name from them on request.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email us at rpgplayers.inc@gmail.com and we will respond promptly. If you are in a region with specific privacy laws (such as the GDPR or the Australian Privacy Act), you may have additional rights, and we honor them.
Children
CoffeeID is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update this page and note the new effective date below. Continued use of CoffeeID after a change means you accept the updated policy.
