Terms of Service

Effective June 12, 2026

The service

CoffeeID is the global coffee identity registry, operated by WORLD COFFEE INFORMATION PTY LTD. Every registered coffee gets a permanent global ID that anyone can look up by tapping its CoffeeID tag or typing the ID. By using CoffeeID you agree to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with a Google or Apple account and are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use CoffeeID.

Content you register

When you register a coffee you confirm the details are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to upload any photos you attach. Coffee records are public and permanent by design: that is what makes the registry useful. You grant us a worldwide, royalty free license to display the content you submit as part of the registry. You keep ownership of your content.

Acceptable use

Do not register false or misleading coffees, impersonate other roasters or producers, upload content you have no rights to, attempt to disrupt the service, or use automated tools to scrape or flood the registry. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel any time and keep your plan's features until the end of the period you paid for. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it.

The registry is provided as is

We work hard to keep CoffeeID accurate and available, but the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Coffee details are submitted by the community and we cannot guarantee every record is correct. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

Ending things

You can stop using CoffeeID or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. Public coffee records remain in the registry, but we will remove your name from them on request.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
